An Instagram post by Anthropologie led me to trying out the Brooklyn Blackout Cake.

It was an open invitation to try out their recipe from Ovenly, a popular bakeshop in Brooklyn, New York. This must be the reason also why the recipe called for Brooklyn Brewery’s Black Chocolate Stout. Nothing wrong with patronizing your local brewery.
The beer did not empower the overall taste. It compliments well with the rich dark chocolate flavor. Crown that with dark chocolate pudding buttercream frosting and you’re in for a rich experience with this must-try recipe.
